You will learn how to support analytical language learners in the early years with their Speech & Language development, especially those working towards single words and two words together.
You will learn about pre-linguistic skills and how they support Speech & Language development. Whether you have had experience of working with children in the Early Years with delayed language development or are just starting out on your journey, I will support you every step of the way so you get the most out of this workshop!

One. Pre-linguistic
Learn about the foundation skills that support Speech & Language development and the crucial role pre-linguistic skills play.
You will use the tools provided to carry out an observation of a child’s pre-linguistic skills.
Two. Strategies
Learn the best early language strategies you can use to support a child’s Speech & Language development - because it’s easier to change what you do!
You will use the tools provided to reflect on your own practice,
Three. Vocabulary
Learn about the ages and stages of language development and the importance of a varied vocabulary.
You will use the tools provided to make a plan for a varied range of target vocabulary.
Four. Boost
Learn how to support children that need that extra “boost” to get to two words together!
You will bring all of your learning together and use the tools provided to carry out a case study!
